is ready to dispatch - we feel this is fairer than the way most sites operate.I'm in the USA/Canada/Australia/Europe - do you ship?
We ship to the UK, almost all of Europe, the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and Hong Kong. Due to Danish privacy law, which prevents us verifying good title to credit cards, we are unable to ship most items to Denmark. Most other countries we do not ship to, but you can email and we'll confirm. It often depends on the type of product ordered. Specifically, we do not ship to Indonesia or to addresses which appear to be Indonesian. We reserve the right to refuse any export order. What can be shipped?
We specialise in exporting diecast models, collectable items, spare parts and other postable items. We prefer not to export large items and are unable to ship in particular Radio Control Cars, Train Sets and Slot Racing Sets outside of the UK/Ireland as the cost of carriage and insurance is far too high. E.g. Slot set to Europe typically £35 to £40 carriage, to USA typically £80 to £90 carriage. It's not worth it and as these items are all generally available in the countries in question anyway we are somewhat dubious as to why anyone would want to order these from us anyway! With the exception of Southern Ireland, we are generally not able to ship large items (RC cars, slot sets, train sets and the like) outside of the UK as the delivery costs and/or insurance are prohibitive. Delivery of these items to Southern Ireland usually costs around £30.
How Quickly Do You Ship?
Non-Europe Export orders have to be processed manually by our staff and are time consuming. For this reason we do all export (non-EEC) orders in batches approximately once a week. We can't for this reason guarantee a delivery date or time, and you need to know (particularly USA based customers) that the Customs in your country can open, examine and hold packages for quite some time at present.Underdeclaring
We declare a value on all export orders for insurance purposes. We are not able (as it is illegal) to declare as Gift or as Second Hand or as "No Value".I put in an order but it was refused - when will I get a refund?
If we refuse your order, we've not charged you anything so no refund is due. We have to refuse orders because people don't always read the above or select the wrong postage option. Are packages insured?
We make sure that all packages are insured, this is included in the postage you pay. Larger valued items you will normally need to sign for. Most parcels take less than 7 days to anywhere in the world, but if you say that a package has not arrived we must wait at least 28 days before we can claim it as lost. The post office will then investigate after this time. We will replace items lost in the post only once the post office confirms that they have been lost, no refunds are possible. It may take a few weeks for the post office to investigate. There is this delay as we have found by experience that over 90% of "lost" parcels lost in the UK and abroad either:1: Are returned to us as the recipient couldn't be bothered to collect from the post office or pay import tax. or 2: Have actually been delivered.
Currency
However many times we explain this on this site, we still get complaints from USA based customers that they have been overcharged when they haven't.The prices we show are in STERLING. This is what we charge you in. We can't charge you in DOLLARS (we're not part of the USA, although we sometimes think our Prime Minister thinks we are!). Approximately £1.00 Sterling is the same as US$2.00.
