Tamiya Radio Control are high performance kit cars - you must assemble all parts yourself. If you do not feel capable of assembling these kits, take a look at Tamiya's own Ready to Run QD & XB cars.

Skill required is similar to basic mechanical work - if you can change plugs and brake pads on a real car, you should be able to build a kit. All car kits require Acoms Radio (includes control box, receiver, switch/BEC and servo), NiCad battery and Charger to function, which are included in deals - you will need a craft knife, cross head screwdriver and pliers, plus paint and 8xAA batteries for the controller to complete model.

Unless stated otherwise, all deals include an Overnight charger. Charger options can be found underneath each item.

Chassis is simple to assemble and features easy and reliable control, making it highly recommended for R/C beginners. Fully finished and painted polycarbonate body of the Rally of Great Britain 2004 Subaru Impreza on the easy to assemble TL-01RA chassis. Chassis features shaft driven full-time 4WD system combined with 4-wheel independent double wishbone suspension with long span arms. TL-01RA chassis coupled with large spike tires allow for reliable and stable running on gravel and off-road surfaces. Notes from the spanner man: This is a very good compromise car - it's an on road chassis, with the addition of adjustable steering linkages and long arms. By fitting a Carson wheel pack (See Aftermarket Wheel and Tyre Sets) you could convert it for tarmac use - so it's the best of both worlds. Tamiya 58336 The Hornet	Chassis: Rear Drive, Classic Chassis. Reissue of 1984 Model!
Click picture for larger view.	Debuting in 1984, the RC hornet - the car that produced the boom of 2 WD off road cars - has returned in it's original form. Utilizing the light weight design of the original model, this RC assembly kit does not care where it runs - either on road or off road. Total length 400mm, total height 150mm, width 230mm, built weight 874g. Made from high grade plastic in all components from the suspension arm to the gear box, bath tub chassis etc and being lightweight, it maximises body rigidity giving a strong model. Suspension on the front is a swing axle independent system damped by coil springs, the rolling rigid rear axle is supported with oil damper units to absorb heavier bumps. The design keeps sand out of the gearbox and the direct vent system on the gearbox allows air to pass in and out but shuts out the invasion of the small stones which could enter when driving off road. Inside is a differential gear which allows smooth cornering. Front wheels feature the classic grooved tyre and the rear wheels have superior traction with high grip spiked tyres installed. As for the body, it's polycarbonate which is strong enough to survive light shocks. Chassis construction - the bumper is made of a special resin. Front suspension is of swing axle independent type supported by friction dampers. Front grooved tyre is hollow. Wheels are 3 piece type with fitted bearings at the front and adjustable via ball adjuster steering tracking position. The ABS resin chassis is of the bathtub type which has high strength as is the side bumper. Needs steering servo (sold separately), receiver (sold separately), 7.2v battery (sold separately). Speed controller (sold separately in Japan, included in some other countries, including UK releases - not included in RAW KIT optionbelow). 540 type motor and oil damper unit for the rear suspension included as standard. Tamiya 58365 Chrome Midnight Pumpkin	Chassis: Rear Drive with Wheelie Bar!

DARK CHROME PLATED LIMITED EDITION This updated stylish version of Midnight Pumpkin features all the popular characteristics of the original, combined with a dark chrome body and silver-plated wheels for a more eye-catching appearance. The body, and parts H and J are plated using an advanced vacuum plating technique. Other parts remain the same as original kit, although an ESC is now included in place of the older mechanical unit, with new packaging used to easily distinguish this limited item from original kit version. A great product for Midnight Pumpkin fans or R/C drivers wanting a good looking and fun product. 2WD Chassis Mounted on Big 115mm Diameter tyres The durable and easy-to-assemble 2WD chassis employs box type frame, front swing arm independent and rear rolling rigid suspension. The lightweight polycarbonate body and wing feature a sleek design making them two of Tamiya's coolest looking buggies. Oil dampers, adjustable upper arm and full ball bearings mean that the Desert Gator and Sand Viper can handle almost anything the track can throw at them, while the grooved front and spiked rear tyres give you the grip and handling to make the competition eat your dust! Unlock the Potential of the DT-02 Chassis!　 The lightweight bathtub frame features centre-mounted R/C unit and battery for lowered centre of gravity and optimum balance. 4-wheel independent double wishbone suspension comes with oil filled dampers, while the upper arm uses double-ended shaft to allow camber angle adjustment. Flat underside allows great skidding performance, while highly responsive suspension ensures excellent road holding on even the toughest surfaces. Differential gearbox is fully sealed from dirt and stones, ensuring a long life of smooth handling. Full ball bearing configuration employs a total of 14 bearings in gear case and wheel axles, ensuring that motor power is efficiently transmitted to wheels. Notes from the Spannerman: This is a great leap forward from Tamiya on rear-drive buggies - nothing since the Mad Cap series (long discontinued) has actually been raceable - the existing buggies such as Mad Fighter etc are great cars, but they're really park and play rather than race machines. The Desert Gator and Sand Viper have a lot of potential for serious driving and the small amount extra over the Super Fighter G is well worthwhile for the added bearings, better drive shafts and improved suspension included in the kit.

Tamiya presents the Gravel Hound as an assembly kit. New 4WD DF-02 chassis featuring longitudinally mounted motor and battery. Sealed semi ball bearing gearbox featuring 8 ball bearings. Turnbuckle tie-rod for easy toe adjustment. 4 oil dampers mounted with 5mm ball connectors. Type 540 motor included. TEU-101BK electronic speed controller included with kit.

Introducing the 1/10 Scale Gravel Hound buggy on the all-new DT-02 chassis. The four-wheel independent double wishbone suspension combines with oil dampers to provide a smooth ride no matter what the terrain. Shaft driven 4-wheel drive train and oversized pinspike tyres ensure great off-road traction and excellent drive performance. Features gear cover and spur gear cover to stop dirt and dust interfering with gear train. Comes equipped with the easy to set up TEU-101BK electronic speed controller and a Type-540 motor.
