Tamiya Help and Advice
Tamiya's XB Pro range has taken the Ready to Run mantle to provide a great, fast "kit quality" car for those who want a run-from-the-box experience - these cars being the same as a kit car (i.e. high performance) but made in the factory.

Each car includes a fully sprayed and stickered impact resistant body shell with long travel front and rear suspension. Tamiya cars are renowned for having the most highly detailed bodies of any range - the XBs are no exception!

The control system is the "Wheel & Trigger" type with proportional steering and speed (the more you turn the more it turns...). Steering trim is adjustable on the controller.

Speed is approx 35Kmh (but upgradeable) on XB Pro models.

All cars include: Radio, 7.2v Nimh battery and Charger. The cars are designed so that you can remove the wheels and body easily and fit replacements if required. Replacement wheels and bodies are available to special order from www.TamiyaParts.co.uk

Enjoy fun R/C racing action right out-of-the-box with Tamiya's XB Ferrari FXX. The factory finished TT-01 chassis features wide-tread style for stable and reliable running.

About the Ferrari FXX

Unveiled in December 2005, the Ferrari FXX is based on the Enzo, but has been developed by the company's racing factory. The 6262cc V12 engine provides over 800ps output. The FXX incorporates technology derived from F1 racing cars, enabling gear changing in less than 100 milliseconds, putting this car in the same class as F1 circuit machines. Owners of the car are allowed to take part in test-driving and developing future racing technology.

The XB Sport models utilize a special version of the TT-01 Type-E chassis, streamlined for quick and efficient maintenance. Parts are interchangable with the kit TT01E cars and most TT01/TT01E upgrades can be fitted straight to the models. VW Golf: The 5th generation Golf GTI was released in 2003 and continued the long tradition of Volkswagen "hot hatchbacks." It was powered by a turbocharged 2 litre inline 4 cylinder engine with 200hp output and was available with either a 6-speed manual or a quick shifting 6-speed DSG gearbox. *Mitsubishi Lancer:* The aggressively-styled Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X was unveiled in 2007 and was equipped with advanced features such as a Twin Clutch SST six-speed sequential transmission. It was powered by a turbocharged 2 liter 4-cylinder DOHC engine producing 280hp and 43kg/m of torque. *Lancia Delta:* From 1987 to 1992, the Lancia Delta Integrale dominated the WRC, winning 6 consecutive world championships. From 1988, the Integrale featured uniquely shaped "blister" fenders. In the same year the Lancia was powered by an impressive turbocharged 8-valve 2-liter 4-cylinder fuel injected twin cam engine which produced 185ps (136kW). Ford Escort: The all conquering Ford Escort was Ford's success story in the 1990's. Based on the chassis of the Sierra Sapphire Cosworth, the Escort carried on it's predecessor's 4WD superiority and was a force to be reckoned with. BMW: The BMW 318i STW was a serious success in it's time in the German STW Touring Car Championship. The combination of poise and balance helped the team win many of the races up against the models of it's time. Like all XBS cars, this model is 4WD for fine handling and precise cornering. The XBS chassis is a streamlined version of the popular TT-01 Type-E Chassis, and is therefore compatible with a wide range of Option Parts for customization. Tamiya's newest 1/10 R/C Expert Built item is the exciting Cayenne S Transsyberia - a specially modified version of Porsche's high-performance luxury SUV that was designed to withstand the rigors of long-distance rally racing. For about two weeks starting from August 2nd, the Transsyberia Rally tested the limits of both man and machine in a gruelling 7,100km transcontinental race from Moscow, Russia to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. After two private teams driving the Cayenne S entered and won the event in 2006, Porsche took notice and offered a limited production version of their SUV specifically for this rally. Many modifications were added to ensure excellent performance in the tough environments, which range from the rugged Ural Mountains to the scorching Gobi Desert. Traction and stability control systems work with the reinforced suspension and special off-road tires to navigate rough terrain. A large skid plate protects the bottom of the vehicle, and both the floor and doors are sealed to allow river forging with the equipped snorkel. The interior features a roll cage, reserve fuel tanks, spare tires, and other supplies necessary for the long trek. Externally, the Cayenne S Transsyberia has roof-mounted lights and a roof spoiler in addition to the snorkel, and one of the body colour choices is a stylish black scheme with orange-colour trim such as side mirrors, front air intake crossbars, and wheels. All you need is eight R6/AA/UM3 batteries for your transmitter and then you are ready to go! Length: 418mm, Width: 236mm, Height: 187mm, Wheel base: 268mm, Weight: 1000g. Independent swing axles for the front suspension, a rolling rigid rear suspension, and large sized friction dampers effectively absorb shocks and bumps. Bevel type diff gear. The Wild Willy 2 chassis features a gear box neatly secured in a monocoque frame. Running battery is positioned lengthwise toward the rear of the chassis, providing the ideal balance for outstanding wheelie action. Another one of Tamiya's classic creations, the R/C Lunch Box (1st released, 1987) was loved for its eye catching appearance as much as for its R/C performance, and the Pumpkin (same car but with a truck body rather than a mini Van) provides it's ideal stable mate. The boxy body raised up over monster truck wheels ensure that this R/C van & truck will get attention anywhere you choose to drive it.

This is a great favourite with kids - the car pulls wheelies with very little provocation, and is suitable for driving at quite a good speed on virtually any surface. The Lunchbox & Pumpkin really shows their best performance on cut grass and mud tracks though.

Like the 2wd cars, this features a perfectly balanced bath-tub frame which holds the R/C unit and battery flat and to the centre for optimum weight balance. However, the full time 4 wheel drive coupled with 4-wheel independent double wishbone suspension with full stroke travel on friction shocks gives consistent and reliable operation on off-road surfaces, which is easier to control than the 2 wheel drive models.

The Rising Storm is masterfully painted and marked polycarbonate body features a design in a flourescent orange (the colour isn't picked up well in our image - it is very bright indeed). Gravel Hound is a more subdued Orange.

Both cars are the same under the bodywork.

	1/10 scale fully assembled R/C buggy with body pre-painted and all markings pre-applied.
	Shaft-driven 4WD DF-02 chassis featuring longitudinally mounted motor and battery layout.
	Low center of gravity and wide tread provides extra stability and superb handling.
	Semi-bearing differential gears for reduced friction packed into a sealed front and rear gearbox for minimal wear and damage on rough terrain.
	Metal dogbone drive shaft.
	Type-540 motor and electronic speed controller pre-installed.
	Includes high performance wheel and trigger R/C system.

Our stock includes an Ansmann battery and Overnight Charger in the box! Battery & charger is not the same as that pictured. Please note: Tamiya has revised the design of the handset on this model - it is still a wheel/trigger unit but isn't the one pictured.

First introduced in 1983, the 2WD racing buggy Frog made a huge splash with its eye-catching design and high performance running.

Reissued in 2006 to world-wide acclaim, the new, revised Frog design has had a full redesign of the troublesome rear drive shaft area and shock absorbers, to iron out some of the weaknesses of the classic design.

The Frog now makes a comeback as a pre-built XB series model. Sleek polycarbonate body is pre-painted in two tone colouring and stickers are pre-applied for right out-of-the-box R/C action!
